Danny is the Zero-Emissions Fleet, Strategic Planning Manager at King County Metro, Seattle, WA. He leads Metro’s technology evaluation and organizational strategic needs to successfully transition to a zero-emissions fleet. Previously, Danny worked at the MTA New York City Transit, Department of Buses from 2001-2018 serving as the Director, Research & Development. He led staff and projects to inform leadership on how to implement clean-air technologies: alternative fuels, propulsion systems, emission control systems and deployment strategies can reduce and eventually eliminate local emissions from MTA’s 5,700 bus fleet.
Prior to entering the public transit industry, Danny performed a variety of aircraft engineering functions including design of structural repairs, modifications to support commercial aircraft. He designed controls and components for packaging machines. Danny holds a M.Sc. in Engineering Management – he studied Manufacturing & Aeronautical Engineering, Strategic Program Management and is a certified Project Management Professional.
